The privacy and security of your personal information is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how and why we use your personal data, to make sure you stay informed and can be confident about giving us your information.

 

Who we are

Will George Mindfulness provides mindfulness training and lifestyle coaching - and is run solely by Will George. You can contact him at hello@willgeorgemindfulness.com

What data we collect

Your personal data is any information which identifies you, or which can be identified as relating to you personally. We only collect and process your data where there is a legitimate interest to do so. All data collected is done so with the purposes of supporting you effectively and providing an ethical service. This includes offering useful information and details of future events after your course or programme with me. Your data is always held confidentially and securely.

Pre-course information

When you apply for a course/programme we may send you a pre-course questionnaire which asks you to supply some personal information, e.g. your contact details, previous experience, and information about your health. We may also speak or email one-to-one. This enables us to support you throughout the course or coaching programme.

Feedback forms

You may be asked to complete a feedback form after participating in a course/programme. This enables us to evaluate and improve our service. This is optional and your responses are anonymised when collected. If you offer a testimonial and wish to include your name and/or any other personal information, you will be ask for your consent. Occasionally, feedback from workplace programmes will be anonymised and collated along with other respondents’ feedback in order to report to the organisation on the impact of the course. This feedback is processed, stored and reported without identifying you personally and you will always be notified of how any feedback will be used.

Email correspondence and mailing list

If you attend a course with us, we stay in touch with you via email throughout the course, to help support you on the course. You are also invited to get in touch via email if you have any questions or concerns. These emails are seen only by Will and are held confidentially and securely. We would also love to stay in touch with you after your course through our mailing list in which we share resources that we hope will be interesting and inspire your continued mindfulness practice. We may also share details of future events.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our mailing list emails. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks to help us monitor and improve our emails. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice

You can opt out of receiving these emails at any time by contacting Will, or by following the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the emails.

Third parties

Your personal data is not sold to, or shared with, anyone else. Occasionally Will may seek advice from colleagues or supervisors in relation to you. Where this happens he does so without identifying you, and in accordance with the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teachers Good Practice Guidelines. In exceptional circumstances where he believes that you or someone else may be at risk, or if he is required by court of law, he may need to share your personal data.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information that held about you, to request changes to inaccurate information, under certain circumstances to object to the processing of information, to request that we delete your information or restrict the processing of your information.

Access, questions, complaints
